iPhoto by Don Butt

What I'm going to talk about:

This is a slick application that come gratis with the Mac operating system. There have been significant enhancements in the latest release. The advantage of using iPhoto as a storage and organizing application it is, like all the Mac software, integrated and one can reference to your photos in iPhoto from various other Mac applications, such as iMovie with the Media Browser function. iPhoto is part of the iLife suite.

One of the first things I do with any new upgrade, after checking for updates, is go to the Preferences, in the top menu, under the name of that application. In iPhoto's Preferences I'll be reviewing the content of each of the headings.

Then I'll be discussing some of the functions in iPhoto:
* Events
* Faces
* Places
* Edit photos, with iPhoto and external editor such as Photoshop
* Slideshow
* Book
* Calendar
* Card
* Email
* Interface with web, MobileMe, Facebook, etc.

Bring your smiling faces - you just might get your picture taken!
